I love this cracker of a quote from philosopher, poet and occasional footballer, Lindsay Gilbee in today’s Herald Sun:
“He [dad] said he was good. He was apparently renowned for his kicking. Maybe that’s where I get a bit of it. My brothers were pretty good kicks. The genes are maybe in the family.”
Do you think so Lindsay? The genes weren’t in a sports drink? You didn’t pick them up on an end of season footy trip to Bali? Mate, I haven’t seen Gregor Mendel kicking a footy lately, perhaps you should keep your views on genetics to yourself.
